beginning of May. The first snow often falls in
mid-October, but does not settle until the end

AUTUMN
IN GEILO
From mid-September and
about one month forward, the autumn
colors take over in Geilo and nature turns into a
firework of red, yellow and orange. Many of the
summer activities are still open and with all the
colors, the mountain hikes will be a completely
different experience. At the same time, the
hunters occupy the village together with
autumn holiday guests. Tap the

mood from Geilo
In addition of being one of Norway's largest and most famous ski resorts, Geilo has over the past
decade become a year-round destination. When winter leaves the roof in May, the mountain village
is transformed through a usually very short spring into a green oasis packed with good offers and
experiences. The summer colors last until mid-September, when the autumn colors fully set in.
